Remote Competition
Rules for Competition # 4
Starts July 24th Ends August 9th
"Flights can be done anywhere in Canada"
Commercial pilots can enter but they are restricted to 5 entries regardless of how many flights they accomplish.
All other pilots can enter all the flights they want
Flights must be done, we may ask for proof that flight was taken
You will have 24 hours from sunday August 9th midnight to enter your flight

The fourth one is geared for slower flights
This competition is for the highest score
Here are some ways to increase your score
#1 amount of minutes 1 point for each min.
#2 Bonus points for time. Up to 60 min 25 bonus
then 61 to 80 min. decreases
example ( 63 min 21 bonus, 67 min 15 bonus 75 min 5 bonus)
#3 Short distance of flight will give you the largest score
example ( less than 1 km 50 bonus, 1-2 km 40, 4-5 km 25..... )

The best score will be achieved with around 60 minutes and short distance as possible
Box flyers or wind change that allows you to land where you took off is best
All flights are as the crow flies and must have coordiates entered
All flights are exact time in the air, inflation does not count although
you can include ground skidding
A password will be used on the submission form. This password is intended to weed out spam
the password for July 24 - Aug 9th is "wowthisisfun"
Please do not try to "fix" or mess with any of the components. Any misuse will result in immediate suspension
from more entries. Use your real name on the submission or it will be deleted. Submissions are email based and will
not be for public viewing. Only 1 entry per balloon per flight. Do not submit each flight more than once.
The procedure is quite simple
1. Go for a flight on the time period mentioned
2. Go to the website http://www.grandeprairiehotairballoon.com/Remote.html
3. Enter your Time in Minutes.
4. Enter your takeoff and landing coordinates
5. Fill in the blanks, password is "wowthisisfun"
5. Click submit
6. Wait for the results, they will be posted on http://www.grandeprairiehotairballoon.com/Remotezultz.html
The results may take 48 hours to compile.
